Holiday workout tips for stay fit..

The holiday’s times ,  It means healthy food and not enough time to exercise. Use these Secrets tips to stay healthy and fit during the holidays.

1.     Keep moving [ Walking ]: Try to avoid sitting for long  periods of time, such as when watching football games or eating. Remember: Too much sitting is hazardous to your health. Research shows that getting up for just five minutes every 30 to 60 minutes and performing light activity reduces the risk of diabetes and other heart disease risk factors.

2.     Make lists, Exercise early and sleep : Holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year, but I recognize that it has the potential to be hard on my health. To alleviate the potential negative impacts of the season, I recommend making sure workouts are in the morning so you don't get distracted later in the day by parties, events or other holiday hoopla. I also recommend getting plenty of rest and maintaining lists to stay organized and stress-free and get sleep early.

3.     Remember it's a single day: If you worry about eating too much on this single day, the reality is that one day won't make or break your health plan. Unfortunately, most people start a pattern of daily 'treats' in some form or another or skip exercise due to visiting relatives. That routine then somehow continues from Thanksgiving through the end of the year. Enjoy the holiday, but don't let it go from a day of indulgence to a month of indulgence that leads to unwanted habits that continue beyond the holiday season.

4.     Try Healthier Recipes : Try finding healthy alternatives to some of your traditional holiday favorites," says fitness competitor Elspeth Dana. "It's a win-win! You'll still get to partake in social gatherings, but without the extra calories.

5.     Try Alternative methods of keeping fit : If you have lots of friends and family in town for the holidays, do not feel like you have to go it alone at the gym. Consider alternative methods of getting fitness into your routine.

Skating, running , or playing with your kids are all great ways to incorporate activity into the holiday schedule. If you start having more fun with fitness this holiday season, staying active won't feel so much like work.

6.    Avoid Skipping Meals: Don’t skip meals, especially breakfast! Even though it can be tempting to skip on certain meals, believing that it will make up for the treats you consumed in the previous day, don’t do it because it will only lead to counterproductive results.

7.     Drink A Lot Of Water: This can satiate your appetite as well as keep you hydrated at all times. And it will also prevent a possible hangover if you overdo it with alcohol. Normally , we drink a lot of water.
